Live Music

Vibrations of soul-soothing acoustic guitar provided by Georgie Rose will ease you into relaxation during Yin Yoga. Goldy will share guitar accompanied by Sarah on harmonium for chanting, mantra and morning Bhajans (heart felt songs). We will all collaborate and share our voices in a delightful Kirtan.

The Experience

Journey to the Heart is a deeply heartfelt Yoga Retreat.

We gather at the start of the Retreat with an Opening Ceremony to set our intention as a group and individuals. Through a guided meditation, tune into your own heart’s desire as to why you’ve chosen to attend this retreat, and prepare yourself energetically to dive into this holistic experience.

We all have our own reasons for practicing yoga, and your intention can be as simple or profound as you like. Perhaps right now you need to re-connect to yourself, or you’ve lost sight of what’s important and you want to tune back in. You could be taking a new leap on your yoga journey. Or realising you’d like to go deeper into your practice, and this could be the starting point. Willingness and a sense of curiosity are like a super highway to re-connect to your higher purpose, and that all stems from being intune with the deepest desire of your heart.

During this magical weekend you’ll be cocooned in greenery, with minimal to no wifi and phone reception. Exposure to nature allows you to release physical, mental and emotional tension, which contributes to your physical wellbeing and reduces stress hormones. Stepping away from endless notifications and a desire to react or respond allows you to become fully aware to your luscious surroundings, and present within your body again.

After this weekend in fresh, crisp air you will come home feeling relaxed, centred and re-aligned with your capacity for compassion and trust for the flow of the universe.

We will explore traditional yogic practices, yoga, mantra and other movement and embodiment tools specifically designed to nourish and replenish your energetic cup.

Come if you’re willing to be inspired by insights from both ancient Hindu philosophy and modern science, and ready to return to your true centre - your heart.

ABOUT THE LOCATION

Martinsville, Central Coast

(aprox 1.5-2hrs drive North from Sydney CBD)

Autumn is a time for transition - the trees begin to change colour, and leaves fall to the earth. This is nature’s process of letting go. When we tune into the seasons we naturally become more reflective as we ease into cooler months. We can strip back to a simple way of being, and release what no longer serves us, to make space for something new.

RETREAT PROPERTY : WATAGAN ECO RETREAT, MARTINSVILLE

Set amongst 40 acres of private wilderness with absolute quietude, “Watagan” offers a secluded respite from the hustle of city life.

Surrounded by tall trees, forest trails and rain forest gullies to be explored, this beautiful property is cocooned by nature - with limited to no mobile or Wifi connection. There are 2 main buildings on the property, both available purely for our retreat.

Only minutes away from the Watagan National Park, this retreat is hidden and remote, yet less than 2 hours drive from Sydney. The drive itself is beautiful, and upon booking we will provide full directions and car pooling options to allow you to arrive safely to the retreat.

ACCOMODATION

There are a number of accomodation types available to suit a variety of needs. All accommodation is priced per person, based on minimum 2 and maximum 4 people sharing a room.

Shared rooms offer a beautiful opportunity to connect with new friends, or you can bring someone along with you and enjoy this experience together. Choose between Queen, Twin Share, Quad Share or the “Yogi Bunker” as outlined below.

INCLUDES:

  • 2 nights accomodation (twin/quad share with a current or new friend) from Fri 28 May - Sun 30 May, 2021.

  • Check-in from 4pm Friday, check out 2pm Sunday.

  • Retreat location is Watagan Eco Retreat centre, Martinsville - inland from Lake Macquarie. A stunning private property surrounded by greenery.

  • All meals are south-Indian Ayurvedic inspired and sustainably sourced, mostly vegetarian and including pescatarian dinner. Gluten free options available upon special request.

  • Meals include 2 nourishing breakfasts, lunches, and dinners plus tea, fruit and snacks prepared, with love, by our chef Roland and assisted by Georgie.

  • 4 yoga classes lead by Sarah Hill. Morning Vinyasa and evening Yin.

  • 2 morning Mantra Meditation sessions.

  • Kundalini Yoga and Meditation lead by Goldy.

  • Live Music and Mantra provided by Georgie Rose.
